Our Director of Safety in Action

Gary Matthews, SMTC, OSHT, Director of Safety and Community Engagement for Commercial Construction, instructed the National Safety Council’s First Aid, CPR, and AED course for the Commercial Group Team. Class participants received a First Aid, CPR, AED certificate.

Drawing on his years of experience, Gary covered a range of safety topics. He demonstrated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and choking care.

After getting hands-on training, class members showed that they knew how to handle breathing and cardiac emergencies.
