04 Dec Bath House Square Apartments Awarded Best In Real Estate
Each year, the Baltimore Business Journal honors the best real estate projects throughout Greater Baltimore. The 2020 list of honorees include a Commercial Construction’s Bath House Square project, recognized for “Best in Real Estate Awards for Historic Conversion.”
The Bath House Square property, located in Baltimore’s Pigtown neighborhood, was a former Fire Station constructed in 1872 and the adjacent bathhouse that was built in 1902. During the 19th century, public bathhouses were commonly used by families to bathe and wash personal clothing. SAA/AJA selected Commercial Construction as the General Contractor to convert the historic bathhouse into upscale residential units and commercial retail space. Today, the new Bath House Square consists of eight “high-end” one-bedroom apartments and approximately 1,700sf of retail space.
“Only Ernst Valery could envision turning the historic bathhouse into beautiful apartments. It was an honor and privilege to bring his vision to fruition,” states Marty Glaze, Commercial Construction, President.
