Dr. Walter S. McAfee

In honor of Black History Month, we’re shining the spotlight on Dr. Walter S. McAfee – an African-American scientist and astronomer. He is known best for his involvement in the world’s first lunar radar echo experiments. He was also the first African-American to be inducted into the U.S. Army Materiel Command’s Hall of Fame.
